Susan, I know where you live.
Don't make me come over there and shake you. Your ears probably wouldn't like that too much. Go to the doctor and get well so you can enjoy life. K?

. Yes, it looks like I'm going to have to break down and go - everytime I lean down or tilt, the stupid thing still closes up on me. Ridin03 said it best "I felt like my ears were clogged and stuff was moving inside." That is exactly what my left ear is doing. Ya'll win - you got my attention. Thanks (I think). ![]() |

sounds like a good plan. I think you've given the "ol' wait an' see" a valid effort and it's worth checking it out since it's been bothering you for a while now. Ridin03's experience is a common one, sinusitis can be a common cause of both ear infections and eustachian tube dysfunction, and sometimes antibiotics help, sometimes they don't.
I just found out myself that I've got sinusitis (long story, dental issue, perhaps I'll start a thread of my own on that ). . . should probably get some Flonase. . . Let us know what it turns out to be!

Finally made it to the dr. today - they cancelled my appt. Friday because they closed early due to our snowy weather (yeah - it's the south
). Anyway Samigator - it was the Eustachian tubes and he put me on a nasal spray and Tylenol Sinus, half dose instead of full dose. I didn't know you could no longer get Tylenol Sinus without dr. approval or pharmacist approval - apparently it can be used to make meth! They washed my left ear out and all of a sudden I can hear again. Thanks for all the advice - I was prepared for what it might be.Susan |

great news.
You probably got some sort of nasal steroid spray, like the Flonase I need lol. Tylenol Sinus probably has pseudoephedrine (Sudafed) in it, which is why it's behind the pharmacist counter- has been for a few years as this methamphetamine craze has been increasing. I don't think you should need a Rx for it, but you have to ask the pharmacist and sign for it, that way they know that you're not using excessive amounts for other reasons.
